Nadodigal goes to Sandalwood

Kannada film industry’s most happening superstar Puneeth Rajkumar takes on the lead role in Kannada remake of ‘Nadodigal’, which is yet to be titled. The movie was launched day before yesterday in Bangalore with Puneeth Rajkumar’s mother Parvathamma, wife of late actor Dr. Rajkumar and actor Ravichandran launched the movie.

The film is produced by Puneeth Rajkumar’s home banner and is directed by famous filmmaker K Madesha. Yogish, Srinagar Kitty and Radhika Pandit are playing other lead roles. Abhinaya, who performed the sister roles in ‘Nadodigal’ and its Telugu version ‘Shambo Shiva Shambo’ takes on the same role here as well.

Sathya Hegde is handling cinematography and music director V Harikrishna is scoring music. This will be a long term project with a schedule of 100days and will be shot across various parts of Mysore, Chikkade, Bangalore and Chitra Durga.

Why filmmakers are angry with Anaya?

Anaya made her debut as heroine in the Tamil film Nadodigal and is currently pairing with Dhanush in Seedan. She had given call sheet to two films.

But due to some confusion in the call sheet, she had to return back the advance which she had received for the two films. When asked about this to Anaya, she said,” When I acted in Nadodigal, I had appointed a person to look after my call sheets.

Without informing me, he had given call sheet for two film. In fact I wanted to see the response of Nadodigal before committing any new films, but this person even before the release of this film had taken advance for two films. So I told him to return the advance.

Similarly in another film even before the director could narrate the full story, my coordinator has taken the advance. I told him to return this money also. Both the directors have mistaken this and angry with me. I have not committed any mistake.

I am pairing with Dhanush in Seedan. By doing only glamour roles, one cannot capture the audience hearts. There should be certain limitations while doing glamour roles.”

Sasikumar’s next Movie: Nagaram

After making a colossal debut with pathbreaking Subramaniapuram, followed by yet another super hit Naadodigal (being made in Telugu as Sambo Siva Sambo), director-actor-writer M. Sasikumar is all set to commence his next project titled Nagaram.

Earlier, Sasikumar had plans to cast a 54 year old man as lead protagonist of this film, but according to latest reports, he has completely changed the script to include 10 newcomers. The shooting will begin by the end of October.

Unlike his previous films, Sasikumar will not make an onscreen presence in this film, set in the backdrop of Chennai. The official announcement will be made shortly.

'Naadodigal' goes to Bollywood

Yes, you heard it right. The just released commercial film, starring Sasikumar, Vijay and Bharani in important roles, is all set to be remade in Bollywood now. Directed by Samuthirakani, the film hit screens only last Friday. It took to decent openings after which, the film’s collection increased through word of mouth. The movie, set in Rajapalayam, is about three friends and the travails they undergo to save their common friend’s love and marriage.

Praised widely for its innovative story line and a thrill-a-minute screenplay, the film has floored critics and the mass audiences alike. Being produced by a Mumbai-based production house, Global infotainment, it is said that the producers are themselves planning on making it in Hindi too.

In fact, casting for the film has already begun, and it is said that Shahid Kapoor has been roped in to play Sasi’s role of Karunakaran.

The Hindi version is also expected to be directed by Samuthirakani, who has also directed ‘Neranja Manasu’ and ‘Unnai Saranadainthen’ in the past.

From the team of ‘Subramaniapuram’, here comes another piece of recital. Bombastically presented, the film is sure to score 10/10 amongst all centres. Sasi Kumar has the best regards as he steals the show with his pleasant presence and stunning performance. Director Samuthirakkani makes a spellbinding debut on silver screen. The film is about group of friends: Karuna (Sasi Kumar), Chandran (Vijay Vasanth) and Pandian (Bharani of Kalloori fame).

They lead a happy life with jovial family and their sweethearts are so kind enough affectionate to them. But bizarre of events strike through their friend Saravanan who comes all the way from Namakkal… Being son of Ex-MP, he’s so distressed with his girlfriend’s father separating them. Sooner, the friends set out to unite them. However, they are accomplished with the venture; they’ve lost many things physically as well mentally.

There is no peace, joy and moreover their future looks so dark now. But they’re satisfied on giving hand for the young couple though they’ve lost many instead… Nevertheless, what would be their reaction when they get to know that the young couple aren’t staying together anymore and ready for divorcing. They’re more frustrated now and have got to prove something.

Sasi Kumar excels stupendously emoting to every situation. On the pars, Vijay Vasanth does a commendable job. Bharani of Kalloori fame turns the spotlight on him. Ganja Karuppu on his part does work out best humors. The two actresses Anaya and Abhinaya are cool enough with good characterizations. Musical score by Sundar C Babu is enchanting and especially the song ‘Sambo Siva Sambo’ has good picturing. On the whole,

Don’t miss this film for it’s a sure winner of this season.
