First it was the arrest of journalist from Dinamalar B. Lenin after a publication of a news report carrying names and photos actresses in Tamil cinema allegedly involved in prostitution. Lenin was arrested under the Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Women Harassment (Prevention) Act.
Now Chennai Union of Journalists is seeking action against six actors (Vivek, Sripriya, Vijayakumar, Sathyaraj, Arun Kumar and Suriya) who gave defamatory comments against the journalists and their family members during the Nadigar Sangam meeting.
Meanwhile, actor Surya on Monday has clarified that he did not intend to give any derogatory comments against the media with whom he and his family enjoyed good relations for more than 40 years.
