Vijayakanth started his directorial venture 'Viruthagiri' in which he is playing the lead role, a police officer.
Produced by L K Sudeesh for Captain Cine Creations, some important portions of the movie were shot by Vijayakanth in Saidapet today, say sources in the know.
Vijayakanth says, "it is not the regular police story you are watching for decades. 'Viruthagiri' is about a honest police officer who is too smart and strong," he says.
