| Producer Udhayanidhi Stalin has sent a press statement regarding the troubles he face as producer in getting a genuine certification and tax exemption for his movies. In the press meet he expressed how his earlier movie 7 aum arivu, directed by AR Murugadoss which starred Surya and Shruti Hassan in the lead and is produced by him under his home production banner Red Giant Movies faced a tough situation in getting Entertainment Tax exemption. Udhayanidhi Stalin also explained how the current government played its ways in delaying tax exemption for 7 aum arivu, while other movies which was released in the delayed time, has been exempted from entertainment tax and listed the movies which include Velayudham, Marina, Kondan Koduthan, Kadhal Pisase, Kadhalar Kadhai, Nanban, Vettai, Nanga and few others in that list. Similarly, Udhayanidhi's latest release Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (Ok Ok), in which he had turned hero has also faced similar situation. He also drew a comparison with 3, for which U certification and tax exemption has been given at ease, but his movie is still at stake. The film is not yet approved for entertainment tax exemption. Also he as a producer had to face troubles in getting 'U' certification and informs media that he had to face several hiccups for releasing the film, that he even had to file a case in High court, after which certification was done and the release date was announced. He also added that the Government is trying to bring in politics in to his business venture, since his family is in to politics. He added that it just not troubles him, but the distributors and others who are associated with the film and has approached the help of media in getting a solution to this.
