Manirathnam is very busy with the works connected with his next film. Karthiks son Gowtham is being introduced as hero through this film. Earlier there was news that this movie was titled as Pookadai. Manirathnam has right away mentioned that his movie is not titled as Pookadai. Manirathnam has titled this movie as Kadal. This will be Manirathnams 23rd film. Kadal is his 14th movie that he will be producing under the banner Madras Talkies. Ace cinematographer Rajiv Menon will be doing the camera for this movie whilst A R Rahman will compose the music for this film. This movie is being produced in Tamil and Telugu. Samantha will be pairing with Gowtham. Aravind Sami, Arjun and Lakshmi Manju will also be starring in this film.
