Well liked playback singer S Janaki was hospitalized today. Janaki slipped and fell in her hotel's bathroom within Tirupati. Her condition is extremely critical and she is undergoing treatment in ICU. She suffered injuries on her head as well as rushed immediately to Sri Venkateswara Institute of Healthcare Sciences (SVIMS) hospital. Janaki's son Murali Krishna said that she's recovering well and her condition is stable right now. She underwent an MRI scan and also the doctors have identified a blood clot on the woman's head.She came to Tirupati to perform in Annamayya Mahayagnam structured by her relative and Carnatic classical vocalist Garimella Balakrishna Prasad.
